Welcome to our New Sunrise Suite – Designed Exclusively for Couples

A unique and inspiring experience where the magnificent mountain landscape of the Porongurup Range and the Stirling Range are literally at your window. The Sunrise Suite is a specially designed sanctuary just for a couple who want all the comforts and a luxurious feel but are also keen to immerse themselves in nature.

Why is this private mountain retreat so special?

Everything you need is here. Fast unlimited wifi, large smart TV, comfy chairs in the cinema corner, bedroom, dining area, lounge and on the verandah. Quality linen pillows and towels. It’s these small details that make a difference.

The Sunrise Suite is tucked in to the hillside with a backdrop of Millinup Pass, Collier Peak and the high paddock known as the Potato Patch. A true mountain retreat.

It’s the backdrop of ancient forests and granite peaks of the Porongurup Range together with the incredible vistas to the rugged peaks of the Stirling Ranges that makes this a location like no other! The picture windows of the Sunrise Suite capture it all perfectly. Each sunrise will bring the possibility of a new day in the mountains you will never forget. This is a hiker’s paradise too! Roam our land and hike into the National Park just 100 meters away.

Bedroom – Queen Bed

The large bay window captures the view across the property to a perfectly framed panorama of the Stirlings. From your bed or the comfy seats, your gaze will be enchanted. With exposed beams, top quality New Zealand wool carpet, soft curtains and a queen size ensemble bed, you will feel the luxury and comfort. We have chosen quality linen, thick pillows, a woolen blanket and a light doona to make the bed comfortable at all times of the year.

The very private bathroom is accessed via the walk through robe with suit case shelf and clothes rack.

Living Room

Central to the living area is the wonderful slow combustion wood heater supplied with wood and kindling so you will always be warm. In the evening close the curtains and it changes to a warm nest cocooned from the darkness.

On any morning you could be waking up to a stunning sunrise or magical mist that will bring awe to the moment. It is ever changing with no two days really quite the same. The vibrancy is in the sky and clouds, the sunrises and long shadows of late afternoon, the pastures and trees and the lush lawn. All this with the grand backdrop of the magnificent peaks of the Stirling’s and Porongurups.

The core of staying here are the views which are breathtaking. The bay windows and floor to ceiling picture windows capture and frame it all. From the comfort of the lounge, dining table or bedroom you will want to sit and absorb the panorama and vistas.

Kitchen

The kitchen is in muted tones with lots of cupboards deep drawers and plenty of bench space. Fully equipped with everything you need it is a perfect self catering facility.The fridge is large enough to hold all your food and drink with a good sized freezer as well. Bathroom

The bathroom has been designed in natural tonings to give it a warm muted feel. A feature is the large amount of bench top space with room for all your personal care items. The curved glass screen welcomes you into the spacious shower with a large rain style shower head. it is a wonderful experience to bath in pure rainwater. your hair will feel so soft. With large towels hand towels bath mats and face washers you are fully catered for.

The property and beyond.

When you stay it is not just the beautiful accommodation and wonderful outlooks that will inspire you. The property is considered by many to be the most scenic and varied in the area. 160 acres of forest wildflowers water features pasture and trails where you can roam for hours in complete freedom. And then there are the peaks and forest of the Porongurups literally next door. Thousands of acres of forest and granite slopes to explore.

Exclusively for our guests, we have special private trails to a local peak with magnificent views over the Porongurups and Stirling Ranges. Staying at the Sunrise Suite is a complete private retreat experience. Immersion in nature, freedom to roam, outdoor fun and adventure and indoor comfort and luxury.

This shows the National Park above us where we have discovered hikes to the peak we call Burchell Rock and to Picnic Rocks where there is a secret cave. Only our guests get to know about these hikes.

Our family of wrens.

Recently we have been feeding a family of 10 wrens who now love our company. It is a joy to have these gorgeous birds come so close .You will be captivated by their antics whilst they are flitting around you. We provide their favourite food mix for you to feed them.
